TOUR PROGRAMME IN DETAILS:

DAY 01:

Arrival at Paro International airport and followed by immigration and further meet our guide and transferred to Hotel. After lunch departure for local sightseeing coveringy at to National Museum of Paro and KyichuLhakhang.

DAY 02:

After breakfast excursion to Taktshang Monastery (approx 5 hours round trip walk). It is one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back
of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called
‘Tiger’s Nest’. This site has been recognized as a most sacred place
and visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime.

STAY AT PARO

DAY 03:

Morning after Breakfast drive to Thimphu and it is 56 Km and takes
2 hrs drive. Arrive Thimpu and Leisure Evening free for personal activities.

DAY 04:

After breakfast, proceed to sightseeing tour of the city and visit Takin Mini Zoo, TrashiChhoeDzong, Textile Museum and Handicraft Emporium.and back to the hotel.

DAY 05:

Morning after breakfast drive to Wangdi via dochulla pass and it is
80 Km and it takes 3 Hrs drive . Dochula Pass is situated at an elevation of about 3,100 meters (10,200 feet) above sea level. Located on the East-West highway between Thimphu and Punakha, this iconic site is famous for its 108 memorial stupas (Druk Wangyal Chortens) and panoramic views of the snow-capped Eastern Himalaya. Sort break and Dochulla and further drive to Wangdi, Wangdue Phodrang is a major town and district capital in central Bhutan. It is famous for the majestic 17th-century Wangdue Phodrang Dzong and serves as the gateway to the stunning Phobjikha Valley, a vital winter habitat for the endangered blacknecked cranes. On arrival transferred to the Hotel and rest day free at Ho Chu river and enjoy the nature.

STAY AT WANGDI PHUDRONG

DAY 06:

Morning after breakfast drive to Trongsa and it takes 4 Hrs drive
120km. The road ascends to the Pele La Pass (3,420 meters), which is the highest point of the journey and marks the transitional climate boundary between western and central Bhutan. Trongsa, previously Tongsa, is a Thromde or town, and the capital of Trongsa District in central Bhutan. The name means “new village” in Dzongkha. The first temple was built in 1543 by the Drukpa lama Ngagi Wangchuck, who was the greatgrandfather of Ngawang Namgyal, Zhabdrung Rinpoche, the unifier of Bhutan. Arrival at Trongsa rest day free for Leisure and night stay.

STAY AT TRONGSA

DAY 07:

Morning after breakfast drive to Bhumthang and it takes 2 Hrs drive and ravel by road from Trongsa to Bumthang, expect a highly scenic but slow journey covering approximately 68 km that takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours by private car or taxi. Because you cross the highaltitude Yotong La pass (3,400 meters) and navigate winding mountainous stretche. Arrival at Bhumthang followed by free in Nature. Located in the central part of Bhutan at an elevation of
2,600-4,500m, the Bumthang Valley usher peace, serenity, and
unmatched joy in the visitors’ minds. Dotted with numerous sacred
Buddhist monasteries and temples, this valley comprises of four
pictorial valleys. Night stay in Bhumthang. The fertile valleys of
Bumthang display a tapestry of fields adorned with buckwheat,
rice, and potatoes. As you wonder through this idyllic setting, you’ll
encounter apple orchards and dairy farms, painting a picturesque
scene of harmony. Amidst this serene ambiance, Bumthang emerges as one of the most peaceful and tranquil destinations in
the entire kingdom.

STAY AT BHUMTHANG

DAY 08:

Morning after Breakfast, Bhumthang local sightseeing. Bumthang
Swiss Cheese, Jambay Lhakhang, Kenchosum Lhakhang, Lhodrak
Kharchu Monastery, Mebar Tsho The Burning Lake, Red Panda Brewery, Ura Valley and Yathra Factory and rest day free.

STAY AT BHUMTHANG

DAY 09:

Morning after Breakfast drive to Phobjikha and it takes 4 and half
hours and 165km. Phobjikha is a nature romantic gate way of Nature, Phobjikha is a breathtakingly serene U-shaped glacial valley in central Bhutan, situated at 2,900 meters (9,500 feet). It is
highly revered as the winter sanctuary for the endangered blacknecked cranes that migrate from Tibet, and is home to the
majestic 17th-century Gangteng Monastery. On arrival free for
leisure and night stay.

STAY AT PHOBJIKHA

DAY 10:

Morning free at phobjikha and by 12 Noon afternoon drive to
Punakha and it takes hardly 2 Hrs drive and 80km, On arrival
transferred to Hotel and visit Punakha dzong . Punakha was the
capital of Bhutan before Thimpu was made the capital city. There
are many places to see in Punakha. It is popular for its temples,
sightseeing viewpoints, courtyards, valleys, towers, and mini
excursions in and around this town. This is one of the religious
centers of Bhutan. It is at the confluence of two rivers of Bhutan.
You can visit this town for taking short tours, stopping before
heading towards other things to do in the Haa Valley, Gangtey,
and Wangdue which have many places that are a haven for
wildlife and nature photographers. These valleys have Alpine forests and mountain views that are serene and breathtaking. You
get a countryside feel when you visit this riverside town,
Punakha.

STAY AT PUNAKHA

DAY 11:

Morning after Breakfast drive to Phuentsholing and it takes 6 to 7
hrs 210km and on arrival at Phuentsholing , transferred to Hotel and free for Leisure and night stay.

STAY AT PHUENTSHOLING

DAY 12:

Morning after Breakfast return back to NJP or Siliguri for return journey to Sweet Home.
