DAY 01:
Kolkata – Raxaul (Overnight Train Journey)
Your sacred Kailash Mansarovar Yatra begins as you board the train from Kolkata to Raxaul Junction. As the train rolls through the plains of eastern India, pilgrims begin their spiritual journey with prayers, devotion, and anticipation for the divine experience ahead. Tour representatives provide an introduction to the Yatra, its significance, and essential travel guidelines. Overnight stay on board the train.

Raxaul – Birgunj – Kathmandu (Approx. 280 km | 8–9 Hours Drive)
Upon arrival at Raxaul, complete immigration formalities and cross the Indo-Nepal border into Birgunj. From here, embark on a scenic drive through Nepal’s picturesque countryside, passing lush hills, rivers, terraced fields, and charming mountain villages before reaching Kathmandu. After hotel check-in, attend a detailed Yatra briefing where permits, travel documents, and important safety instructions are reviewed.

DAY 03:
Kathmandu Local Sightseeing & Yatra Preparation
After breakfast, enjoy a spiritually enriching sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s most revered religious landmarks. Seek blessings at the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, one of Lord Shiva’s holiest shrines, followed by visits to the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa and the hilltop Swayambhunath Temple. Participate in a special Shiva Puja at Pashupatinath before completing the final preparations, permit collection, and baggage arrangements for the high-altitude journey into Tibet.

Kathmandu – Syabrubesi (Approx. 140 km | 6–7 Hours Drive)
Today you leave Kathmandu and travel north towards Syabrubesi, the gateway to the Himalayas. The drive offers spectacular views of snow-capped peaks, winding mountain roads, roaring rivers, and traditional Nepalese villages nestled amidst lush green valleys. Upon arrival, relax and prepare for the exciting cross-border journey into Tibet the following day.

Syabrubesi – Kerung (Tibet) (Approx. 90 km | 4–5 Hours Drive)
After breakfast, proceed towards the Nepal-Tibet border where immigration and customs formalities are completed. Enter the mystical Tibetan Autonomous Region and continue to Kerung, a beautiful Himalayan town situated at an altitude of approximately 2,700 metres. The fresh mountain air and breathtaking landscapes mark the beginning of your unforgettable Tibetan adventure.

Acclimatization Day at Kerung
Today is reserved for acclimatization, an essential step in preparing your body for higher altitudes. Take short walks around Kerung, practice breathing exercises, stay well hydrated, and enjoy ample rest. This gradual adjustment significantly reduces the chances of altitude sickness while allowing you to appreciate the serene Himalayan surroundings.

Kerung – Saga (Approx. 230 km | 6–7 Hours Drive)
Drive across the vast Tibetan Plateau, one of the world’s highest and most spectacular landscapes. Witness endless grasslands, snow-covered mountain ranges, crystal-clear rivers, grazing yaks, and expansive skies that create an unforgettable panorama. Arrive at Saga, located at approximately 4,500 metres above sea level, and night stay.

DAY 08:
Saga – Lake Mansarovar (Approx. 460 km | 8–9 Hours Drive)
Today is one of the most awaited days of the pilgrimage as you journey towards the sacred Lake Mansarovar. En route, enjoy your first divine darshan of the majestic Mount Kailash, revered as the abode of Lord Shiva. Upon reaching the pristine lake situated at an altitude of approximately 4,590 meters, pilgrims may take a holy bath (weather permitting), perform meditation, prayers, and soak in the deeply spiritual atmosphere.

DAY 09:
Mansarovar Puja – Darchen (Approx. 40 km | 1 Hour Drive)
Begin the day with Rudrabhishek, Havan, and other sacred rituals on the banks of Lake Mansarovar, seeking the blessings of Lord Shiva. Complete the Mansarovar Parikrama by vehicle before proceeding to Darchen, the base camp for the sacred Kailash Parikrama. The evening is spent preparing physically and mentally for the upcoming trek around Mount Kailash.

DAY 10:
Darchen – Yamadwar – Dirapuk (Parikrama Begins) (Approx. 12 km Trek | 5–7 Hours)
After a short drive to Yamadwar, regarded as the Gateway to Salvation, begin the first day of the sacred Kailash Parikrama. Trek through dramatic valleys surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks while gradually approaching the magnificent North Face of Mount Kailash. The breathtaking views and spiritual energy make this one of the most memorable days of the Yatra. Overnight stay at Dirapuk.

DAY 11:
Dirapuk – Dolma La Pass – Zutulpuk (Approx. 22 km Trek | 10–12 Hours)
Today is the most challenging yet spiritually rewarding day of the Kailash Parikrama. Cross the sacred Dolma La Pass, situated at an altitude of approximately 5,630 metres, the highest point of the pilgrimage. Along the descent, visit the revered Gauri Kund, believed to be associated with Goddess Parvati. Continue trekking through rugged mountain landscapes before reaching Zutulpuk. This remarkable day symbolizes spiritual purification and inner transformation.

DAY 12:
Zutulpuk – Darchen – Saga (Approx. 8 km Trek & 450 km Drive | 8–9 Hours)
Complete the final stretch of the Kailash Parikrama with a gentle morning trek before returning to Darchen. After successfully completing the sacred Kora around Mount Kailash, drive back across the Tibetan Plateau to Saga. Pilgrims often celebrate this profound spiritual achievement with prayers and heartfelt gratitude.

Saga – Kerung (Approx. 230 km | 6–7 Hours Drive)
Retrace your journey through Tibet’s mesmerizing landscapes as you drive back to Kerung. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of majestic Himalayan ranges, high-altitude rivers, and peaceful valleys. The evening provides an opportunity for reflection, group prayers, and sharing unforgettable memories of the sacred pilgrimage.

Kerung – Kathmandu (Approx. 170 km | 7–8 Hours Drive)
Cross back into Nepal after completing immigration formalities at the border. Continue the scenic drive to Kathmandu, where you once again visit the holy Pashupatinath Temple to offer thanksgiving prayers for the successful completion of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Spend the evening at leisure or explore Kathmandu’s local markets for souvenirs.

Kathmandu – Birgunj – Raxaul – Kolkata (Approx. 280 km Drive | 8–9 Hours + Overnight Train)
After breakfast, depart Kathmandu and drive to Birgunj before crossing the border into Raxaul.
