Detailed Daywise Itinerary
Day 1 : Sundarban 1 Day
We start our journey from Kolkata. First pickup point is the Indian Museum Main Gate near Park Street Metro. Report at 8:00 AM and leave at 8:30 AM. The second pickup point is P.C. Chandra Garden Gate No.1 near Science City. Report at 8:30 AM and leave at 9:00 AM. It takes exactly three hours of scenic tea–break ride to get up to our Sundarbans hotel around 1.30 PM in time to lunch. An enchanting boat tour through the Sundarban Bird Jungle is awaiting its guest for a breathtaking sunset before a lively folk dance will help to unwind in snacks besides bonfire in winters.
- 8:00-9:00 AM: The first pick up will be at Indian Museum Main Gate, near Park Street Metro by 8:00 A.M. P.C. Chandra Garden Gate No.1, near Science City will be the second pickup point; reporting time is at 8:30 A.M. and will leave at 9:00 A.M. All will leave by an air-conditioned vehicle for Godhkhali with a short break en route for refreshing breakfast with tea.
- 1:30 PM: Reaches the hotel ideally located near the Sundarban Tiger Reserve. Enjoy stunning views, fresh forest air, and peaceful village surroundings for an ultimate getaway.
- 2:00 PM: Have lunch and prepare for the evening.
- 4:00 PM- Boat ride to the Sundarban Bird Jungle: Witness the lovely sight of sunset with return back to the hotel by 6:00 PM. Enjoying local folk dance: Snack with tea or coffee during this time, 7:00 PM.
- 8:00 PM: Outdoors campfire and music ends (dependent on season).
- 10:00 PM: Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : 2nd Day Sundarban
Explore the vast expanse of this protected area with a guided safari through its winding rivers and spotting wildlife on the way. Highlights of this journey include walking through the canopy at Do-Banki and visiting the five-river junction. Return to Kolkata in the evening with memories of this unique wilderness adventure.
- 8:00 AM Start the morning with a Sundarban Delta Safari by boat.
- Sajnekhali Tiger Reserve: Take the insightful tour guide along. 8:30 AM.
- 9:30 AM: Everything remains beguiling in this boat safari sailing along rivers, islands, creeks Pirkhali, Sarakkhali, Gazikhali, Deul Varani, and Banbib Varani. Stop for watching deer, crocodiles wild boars, water monitor lizards, bird species and Royal Bengal Tiger at Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower.
- 12:30 PM - Migrate to Do-Banki Tiger Reserve and hike the canopy of 896 meters that gives a bird's eye view of the surroundings.
- 1:30 P.M.: Panchamukhni, the five-river junction — this view is simply breathtaking. 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: End the jungle safari and return to Kolkata. 8:00 – 9:00 PM; Arriving at Kolkata, concluding your trip.
